Summer Big Church Read

Update: Thank you to all those who participated in the Summer Big Church Read! We hoped you enjoyed the book and the materials. All the materials will remain live on our website and YouTube channel. Stay tuned for information on the next book we will read.

This summer, we will be reading Liturgy of the Ordinary, by Tish Harrison Warren, together. This book encourages us to explore our daily lives through the lens of liturgy, the small practices and habits that form us, and to discover the holiness of our every day. There will be no weekly meetings or questions, but there will be resources shared in the weekly happenings email to guide your understanding.

Framed around one ordinary day, this program explores daily life through the lens of liturgy, small practices, and habits that form us. Each session looks at something—making the bed, brushing her teeth, losing her keys—that we do every day. Drawing from the diversity of her life as a campus minister, Anglican priest, friend, wife, and mother, Tish Harrison Warren opens up a practical theology of the everyday. Each activity is related to a spiritual practice as well as an aspect of our Sunday worship. Come and discover the holiness of your every day.

To pick up a copy of the book, or to get the ebook,  speak with Sonya, or contact the church office for more details.

Follow along using the workbook and with our weekly videos. New videos will be posted on Friday’s throughout the summer.
